I wish I were alive when he was making music. I've heard all of his music, but I wish I was there to hear it the moment it dropped. Most definitely in my top 2 artists of all time.

Although I was born in 1974, Donnie Hathaway was a saving grace of deep thought, humility, bringing the love and pain major for many generations after him. May YAH forgive his tormented ruach and give him a perfect rest. I will listen to him today. Todah YAHUAH for sharing a perfect gift on this earth!!! RIP MR. DONNIE HATHAWAY. Btw your daughter holds a portion of your gift, but she could never replace your passion of love and life during a difficult time for so many.

- When I think of Donny, I can see him pull out The Woodblock and a Single Drum Stick! Then I remember all of the audience clapping along.... ☝🏼

Donny Hathaway
Music isn’t just notes and rhythms—it’s life, emotion, and everything in between. From the church pews to jazz clubs, from heartbreak to healing… Donny felt it all. And he gave us music that still speaks to the soul.
