In other news, my Internet speed is fluctuating wildly, and neither I nor my ISP know why. The new router does not seem to be helping, but we press on. On the plus side, being Less Online seems like a generally good thing, and I'm sure we'll get it sorted soon.

Now, today's REAL topic:

@HMelitaH

I don't generally pet cheese (especially since it's preferable for it to not have fur...), nor do I eat kittens, so... I feel that I cannot, in good conscience, compare the two so directly. šŸ¤” This would, however, be a very good question for ALF!

Cheese may taste good, but kittens purr. Nothing trumps purring. 😻

@geoffroi-le-Hook

A kitten once licked cheese off my face.

Being online less while still making the world suck less? Jill, you are a winner and you give us all the prize. Thank you for continuing to be awesome.

Not only does cheese taste better than kitten, but it's much lower maintenance. Kittens get pissy if you refrigerate them for too long, and cheese never expected me to clean a litter box.

@ChickenUprising

Cheese tastes much better than kittens, so it wins my vote

Less internet is probably a good thing. But we will miss you in the mean time!

We’re actually having problems with the internet on this side of the big pond, too! This old goat has a great forgetory! I would end up with 20,000 subscriptions after the first year.

While cheese is both enjoyable and… alive, to a degree, kittens beat it in both aspects. And, while cheese pretty consistently makes one feel good, kittens are also capable of doing so, though, admittedly, somewhat less reliably. Kittens are superior, which is why I am willing to sacrifice cheese to a kitten in order to enjoy the kitten’s company more, but I am unwilling to sacrifice a kitten to enjoy cheese.

I like both what can I say, also I do clicking buttons too, just not as much as cheese and kittens

@lathyrusloon

My kitty is obsessed with cheese. I can even call her downstairs by saying "baby I have Cheeeeese" and she'll rush me for it.

@williwiebe

I think this possibly comes down to are you lactose intolerant or allergic to cats? For example, I am not lactose intolerant but I am allergic to cats, so cheese easily wins for me.

@rodofiron100

Picked kittens, but that's a hard one

@P0nyl0ve

I'm allergic to cats so I'm gonna have to go for cheese

Cheese definitely tastes better than kittens. Honestly. Cat meat is rank. Although given some of the weird cheeses my wife has brought home... maybe a tie. But in general, the average cheese tastes better than cat.

I will gladly pay for the full series when it is ready. Be it short-longform (pants instead of shorts) or if I can get a second Jill Bearup book on my shelf, that would be awesome.

I would have answered ā€œall of the aboveā€ since I do like clicking buttons too. Really enjoying ā€œspace meā€!
