Hey Neil, not sure you read these messages but, I’m 25 years old and love your music. My dad also loved you and had I think 3 cds. One was hot august night and the other was dreams. He sadly passed in 2017 of cardiac arrest. Anyway, at his funeral the song Holly Holy was played and now I love that song he did also. Anyway, That’s my message to you Mr. Diamond. I should say that I am a musician as well. I play guitar and Elvis is my other hero I look up too. I used to play country music and now I play pop/rock. When you have played country music for 3 years you get sick of it! Little bit at least! Now Ive been playing pop/rock for a while now and love it! No wonder you play it! Mr. Diamond let me start by saying that there may be imposters and imitators, duplicators and such...but there is only the original, the one and only OG and that my dear, Mr Diamond is YOU!! I'm so thankful that I have seen you live in concert a couple of times...and you were amazing! I've had loved your music 🎵🎶 ever since back in the day when I was a much younger gal. 🤭 Your songs are so beautiful, meaningful and you've touched so many lives with your lyrics and music, that you've become a familiar feeling...at least for me that when I hear your songs it takes me back to a familiar time in my life and I feel like I'm home. I hope that makes sense? 🤔 It's a good feeling and that's awesome! 👍🏼 I've smiled 😁 and I've cried with your songs, but I never tire of hearing you sing my friend. It saddens me to know that you can no longer perform Live in concerts, but we will always have you in vinyl, cassette tapes and CD's. I've even gone to Neil Diamond tributes just to hear your songs done by one entertainer in particular by the name of Jay White who does a phenomenal job of impersonating you...with your voice and look! I think he's the best there is in giving you a proper tribute!
