I'm still watching the episodes. It's very nice! Well done! But as you said each subject deserved a documentary of it's own. It's a nice follow-up on Jason Scott's. I didn't notice that so many years have passed! But I'm glad that new people are interested and the BBS are not dead. My dad had parented a modem for apple II in the 80s and I grew up building machines and accessing BBSs. Every little thing that you accomplished in that time had a taste of challenge. Nothing was easy, and you didn't have the internet to research. So the communities were invaluable. I had friends almost everyday at home bringing cpus and warez.

I submerged myself in the BBS world after that video series! I ended up chatting with the creator on one of the BBS he recommended. Amazing world. A time machine

Al's Retro Geek Lab
Have you tried BBSing? It's a great experience, I really enjoy the close -knit forums, the community and great chat rooms. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the corporate internet we seem to have in 2025. If you've never done it, check out my video called "Back to the BBS". Here's some shots of me using MRC chat and the main menu of Al's Geek Lab BBS (bbs.alsgeeklab.com:2323).
