Firstly, it will take roughly 11 hours for option 1. That is 1000/90 For option 2, it'll go this way. I'll drive 20km/h for a total of 1.5 hours. 20x1.5 = 30 This means I'll drive a total of 30km in all cities combined. Therefore we minus 30 from 1000 which is 970. 970/110 = 8.82 hours. You add the 1.5 hours in the cities and it gives you roughly 10 hours. The answer therefore is option 2
