The p/e is insane though for a company who's growth rate is limited, I'm keeping this one on the watchlist for now

Grrrr...I just had to pay for an HVAC system needed to sell some. With my very first dollars into real investing in 2019, I bought Costco. You can't go wrong.

Wow that’s amazing! I was happy with the 6% raise I got today from AMT 😆

I only own 6 shares but I will take whatever special dividend they want to hand out!

Why wouldn't costco just pay off its debt? Wouldn't that just be easier

When will that dividend be paid does anyone know? Not got a hell of a lot of Costco but I sure like my dividends 😂☺

Does that mean we should be seeing a stock split soon for more shareholders to join? (Since some brokerages don't offer fractional)

I used to work for this company and I hated my managers. However it is a good company and they do reward shareholders very well.

Costco just declared a $15 special dividend. Based on the amount of shares I have, that's $1,297 for me. On top of a 39% return this year.
This is a $6.7 billion dividend, with a starting cash balance of $17 billion, and long-term debt and lease liabilities of $9 billion. Meaning that even after paying this enormous dividend Costco will still have more cash than debt.
They also grew EPS above expectations and revenue in line. This is what a compounder looks like.
