My favorite 9th level acid spell is Elemental Swarm from 3.5, but it only summons water elementals, and all their damage types are switched to acid.

9th level spell, with acid damage. Alright: here’s my crack shot pitch. Boiling Earth: action to cast: create a 60 foot radius of difficult terrain on the ground. (Permanent, if the spell lasts for the whole concentration.) Concentration 1 minute: On casting, each creature in the area makes a strength saving throw. On a failure, it takes 6d8 acid damage, and it sinks 5 feet into the ground, becoming restrained. On a success, it takes half damage, and is not restrained or sinking. As an action, they can make a STR athletics check to escape: on success, climbs out, and no longer restrained. On fail, you take an additional 6d8 acid damage, and sink 5 feet deeper. A murky cloud of noxious fumes float 20 feet above the boiling earth, acting as stinking cloud does. If a creature sinks beneath the surface of the earth, they are no longer able to make the Dex save to escape, is suffocating if it needs to breath, and takes 12d8 acid damage per round submerged.

You create a Vat of Acid, and when you jump in, you make fake bones float to the top, your enemies have disadvantage on intelligence checks to believe you have died. Casting time 3 hours, concentration.
