iOS 26.0.1 on my iPhone 16 pro max is horrible. Battery drain, ui glitches and bugs are everywhere. Stay on 18.7.1 if you haven’t updated your phone yet.

Bro I’m so mad. My 13 pro is still on 18.7 and my 15 plus is fully updated. Literally since the official iOS 26 release my phones been buggy and battery has been awful. Meanwhile my 13 pro is running better than ever.

I’ve heard nothing but battery drain issues from iOS 26 so for now I’m on iOS 18.7.1. I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, had it since launch of last year. I’m at 244 cycles at still 100% battery capacity and I’m just worried that if I update to iOS 26 my battery life will tank and that’s just something I’m not willing to take a risk on.

Staying on 18.7.1, everyone I know that has upgraded 26 / 26.0.1 is having bugs of some sort of another. Mostly battery issues. Battery life though out the day has decreased significantly.

16 PM - I actually went to 26 on the first day, HATED IT, restored to 18.7, and that’s where I’m staying, possibly until 27 🤣

iPhone 15 pro owner here. I have to be on mobile data for most of the day and battery drains like crazy on latest stable iOS. On previous versions, Atleast used to last me a day till I got home. Now have to charge it Atleast once around late afternoon. Hope Apple fixed the idle drain.

Decided to stay with iOS 18.7.1 on my iPhone 16 pro max because I still don’t trust iOS 26 with battery life; with 18.7.1 my iPhone gets through the day not going below 40% charge and I don’t see any issues. I hope 26.1 resolves this battery problem.

26.1B2 seems to fix a lot of the strange bugs and oddities I was having with B1

Ever since I updated to iOS 26, my iPhone 16 Pro Max battery life is horrible. Everyday, the Health app keeps taking 50%

Aaron may I suggest doing a short on why battery drain happens after a large update? I believe many people don’t understand still and knock the update unfairly

On my iPhone 14 using iOS 26.0.1. and the only major issue is significant battery drain. That's on a brand new battery too.

iPhone 15 pro. Battery is slightly better on 26.1 however I’ve noticed messages to RCS contacts frequently fail (that suddenly started recently unclear if it’s the update or not as it’s intermittent). Screenshots don’t work right the first time (at least it doesn’t work all the time the first time). Still do not like the ui choices/design but that’s a hill Apple decided to take a stand on for whatever reason.

Staying on 18 for the first time after a big iOS update. I’m really worried about the battery and resources used by iOS 26.

stay on 18.7 26.0.1 does not work unless you want none of the options to work and get a 4 hour battery don't do it

On iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 26.0.1) everything’s smooth with stable battery life. Only issue since iOS 26 is the lock screen taking 3–4 seconds to show the PIN pad when not using Face ID.

I'm using iOS 26.1 beta two on my iPhone 11 and everything is smooth. However, the best thing for me regarding this update is Apple fixing the voiceover feedback where some of the voices weren't downloading upon activation. and selection. sometimes when you download the voice it stays there for about let's say an hour. but sometimes after coming back to the Settings app to download the preferred voice, it disappears and now I have to download it all over again. but now with this update, one of the voiceover voices I selected is working smooth now, and I can use it knowing that hopefully within the next update, it won't break accessibility for many users.

iOS 26.1 Beta 2 has been out a few days and iOS 26.0.1 has been out a couple weeks. iOS 18.7 was also released as an alternative to iOS 26. How have they been for you? Did the updates resolve any issues you were having or are do you have more bugs and issues? Also, how is battery life for you? If you comment below, please include the devices you are using and the version you are using on it.
