It should have been done long ago. The Indus water treaty shouldn't have been signed in the first place. India's generous diplomatic gestures have always been reciprocated by the other side in terms of violence and bloodshed whether it's against Hindus, security personnel and non-locals.

When Indian govt mentioned Indus treaty after 2019 Pulwama attack, Pakistan should have reconsidered their choices. They have made their own bed, now it's time for them to lie on it.

The question is inappropriate itself. While national security comes above everything else, it is also true at the same time that the frustration and anger is all upon the disgusting neighborhood government and their incompetence, not the common people. In fact, diplomatic ties should be maintained a bit for the betterment of our own country, because there are many countries, for e.g. China who just can't wait to befall with all curses for a long time. And for the same reason, there are many countries in the line, especially pakistan, followed by China who advertently or inadvertently want a direct war between India and Pakistan which could trigger a sharp debacle to our own economy. There are tons of ways to teach lessons to Pakistan for their horrifying activities with technology, with export-import policies, smart diplomatic stances, etc. Take example of China and USA. Everyone knows the relationship between these two countries, but does it take any action for direct war? Yet, at my understanding USA keeps a faraway distance over any bombarding decision over China. However, for a certain time being Indian visas policies should be strict-actioned against Pakistan but not over a permanent ground. And again for the same circumstance, I think current decision on the Indus water treaty should be reconsidered for the long-term because we have Brahmaputra in the east, and a major course is on China itself. Therefore, we believe that our ministry of foreign and external affairs government with the Defence department will showcase smartest moves over dark diplomacies and against Pak govt's. blatant allure.
