This weekend I was thinking about my upcoming wedding and how my relationship with my boo has changed over the years. While I’m not usually a super sentimental person, I got incredibly emotional thinking about all the things we've faced together. You know him as the guy who occasionally makes a cameo on my IG stories, but to me, G is the guy who loved me before all of this - before the money, before the success, before the endless possibilities. He has always loved me for me.
6.5 years and thousands of memories later, I know G as the guy who:
1) Spent $150 on a charity event ticket (I was hosting the event) while eating PB&J's at his desk at work to save money.
2) Tried chicken feet at dim sum, not because he wanted to, but because he knew I loved them, and wanted to share the experience. (He did not like lol)
3) Killed cockroaches WITH HIS BARE HANDS in my roach-infested walk-up apartment. (My hero)
4) Planned an elaborate proposal all while working tirelessly at his fancy job to afford my fancy ring (LMFAO)
5) Always runs me TP in 2 minutes or less :)
I know I've said it before, but choosing the right partner makes a world of difference, both in your emotional, mental, and physical well-being, but also in your career success and ability to build a financial foundation. I wouldn't have had the guts to take @YourRichBFF full time without his support, and I hope that everyone reading this already has or gets to find a love that makes you feel like you're great person on earth, even on your worst days.
P.S. If you date men, Libra men are amazing. Stay away from Aquariuses. Sorry. I said what I said.
