Lady of the Library

Are people interested in academia on here, like sharing experiences from an academic life and how to start reading certain texts or genres, or just more general bookish or self-reflective discussions? I'd like to talk more about academia and experience studying and researching alongside the other content, but not sure if that would be boring or alienating to those not interested or partaking in academia.

Please continue to share your experiences with academic life. Im finding my way back to college after a 10 year hiatus and your wisdom and warnings really help me out!

It's your academic appeal that sets you apart from many other genuinely unique channels I enjoy. I find your literary analysis fascinating and altogether inspiring so please don't defer.

I would absolutely love videos on how to approach certain genres and texts! Those were some of my favorite videos of yours I still think about daily.

I'm not looking to be an academic but I would appreciate videos tailoring academic training for general use. Like how to read particular books, note organization etc.

I appreciate all your content, as well as your delivery, it’s incredibly refreshing and you are the only YouTuber and content creator I really follow. I found my way to you through several avenues, first from no-buy, but then also through your book-related content and finally through to your productivity and general life-related stuff. So basically everything lol. I will say that your videos about how you go about your studies and interpreting texts is really inspiring to me, a person who is not and will never be an academic but who is genuinely interested in pursuing an intellectual life in my own time. Like, I’m learning how to think via your content so definitely hope you’ll keep posting things like that.

My first degree is in Computer Science. In 2020 I started my Anthropology degree and it was a very overwhelming experience, I had to reshape my brain to read non STEAM stuff, so yes, the content you're proposing I think would be very useful for many.

I like the book stuff and the academia stuff etc. You have an amazing way of explaining and talking and dissecting things. Honestly, just that alone sparks my brain. (Meaning; i find it super fascinating and it motivates me to read more and up my learning curve.)

It is essential to avoid echo chambers and, even more critically, singularity. Utilizing academic sources, empirical evidence, and critical thinking skills in discussions is important for supporting the content of any message.

Don't hold back. A rising tide lifts all boats. So spend the time to explain the concepts. I have found people are generally interested in academia when they understand the methods and end goal.

Raising awareness of academia and its positive effects on society sure can be a worthy niche to pursue these days as a content creator, especially when groups striving for power and more power actively work on trying to shift public opinion against it because knowledge is, well, power, as the old adage goes.

please keep talking about academia!! I’ve had a very rough love/hate relationship with academia, but your take on it is so validating and refreshing

I would love to hear about your academic life! I haven’t been back to school since my bachelor’s degree but I soooo wish I could. The only thing holding me back is the money (I’m American, go figure). Hearing about your academia would be like living vicariously through you haha.

That is one reason why I subscribed to your channel. I chose not to take that path, but admire those who do. I'd be curious to know
