We chose a location and a style for the photo shoot for The Ache based on my memories from the 70s and 80s of where my dad worked which was a roadside motel in Nashville. I could see the sign for the Howard Johnson motel where my dad worked from my babysitter’s house in West Nashville. So my memories are from the 70s and 80s and we decided to give it that feel, almost of nostalgia, but more of a difficult time in my life. It’s kind of a paradox, but so is life.
