Realistically, Amy being the post credit would be Weird. If you’re introducing both Amy and metal sonic for a cd inspired movie, metal is a better candidate since it can give the post credit more of a dramatic flair, Amy could very well still be there. They can introduce her in the movie, and then introduce her main role in the next movie by having her somehow find out about metal sonic, and the movie ends in a cliffhanger as she’s trying to warn sonic. Then the next movie opens with her being captured by metal.

I think Metal will be in the movie, and they're saving it. Like, Shadow and Sonic team up because Eggman betrayed them, and he shows from hanging out with Sonic throughout the move, he got a closer look at him, and made a perfect copy. I don't think it will be Amy, because I can't think of a good way for her to come into the series that isn't just the same as Tails. Maybe Silver? It would make some sense. I'm just gonna wish on a star that it's the ever so based Sage, but that's not gonna happen.

Amy or Metal. Silver doesn't cut in line over Amy Rose or Metal. Silver can definitely get a chance in a movie 5 if we are still going strong but Amy needs to be setup before Silver not with. Metal Sonic is a mainstay as well. With Silver, Blaze or Mephiles could be done with him in movie 5. Shadow can come back here if they want but I would expect Shadow to take a break in the next movie, likely fake death like main canon

Show Eggman studying something which is revealed to be called "Little Planet" and then say "it's time" as he opens a capsule or something revealing the newly created Metal Sonic with the quill he got in the trailer for S3. Then show Amy in S4 pretty near the start, maybe as she does a tarot reading revealing that she'd meet a hero very soon, right before Sonic runs by while headed to Little Planet. Then Amy would follow him and get kidnapped by Metal in their first encounter. You can't do Silver because Iblis is already dead. There would be no reason for him to go back in time in search of the Iblis Trigger because he wasn't triggered.

Most likely Amy will be teased at the end of Sonic 3. Silver will be saved for a later movie, and Metal Sonic will be in Sonic 4 but just not teased in Sonic 3, is what I'm guessing. I'm hoping for Sonic 4 to be based on Sonic Heroes, to include Metal Sonic and also Neo Metal Sonic and Metal Overlord.
