{I can't believe I haven't been to my community tab in three months wow} Greetings, everyone! I hope the holidays have been treating you all well. I think it's about time I give an update to what's been going on in the last few months or so.
Since my video on "The Train" and the fiasco that came with it, I've been quite burnt out. I have also been putting a good chunk of my time into projects for a higher-level film class which I'm very grateful to be in! I've learned a lot of about different cameras, schedule coordination, as well as just getting a ton of experience.
That being said, the time I spend working on stuff for Youtube is pretty hit-or-miss (with homework and all). Every so often, I have a good chunk of time, but that is usually my down-time where I do what I want whether it be watching movies, calling with friends, playing games, etc. That's not to say that TTTE content creation isn't fun, it totally still is, but I just find myself expending that free time on other things besides the latter these days. All of this on to of working on a short film for a festival in 2025, which is going very well!
Speaking of films, I joined Letterboxd a few months ago so if there are any fellow movie snobs searching for opinions to invalidate, here you go 🙃: letterboxd.com/DonDoug/
So, what's happening right now? Well, I don't exactly have any plans for future 'Thomas' adaptations and films, but that will likely change within the coming months. I am however working on a small video on another movie I saw this year that should be coming out (hopefully) on December 10th, the 62nd anniversary of it's premeire. If you can guess what it is, sound off below. I also plan to record an audio commentary on "Rails of Ice" fairly soon. I really enjoyed working on "Gordon Goes On" as a small little step back into videomaking so I may adapt TheBuriedTruck's other RWS shorts.
And yeah I think that's all I wanted to say. I know I seem to have stepped away from making stuff on this channel, but I just haven't had as much time; it's as simple as that. Thanks for reading my TedTalk, and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
