“Deeply regret the error.” That’s how Angela Rayner described not paying the correct Stamp Duty, while her Government drives taxes sky-high and forces business owners out of business, or out of the UK.
We’re told to “pay our fair share,” yet the very people behind record borrowing and endless tax grabs can’t even get their own tax affairs straight.
The hypocrisy is staggering.
Every year, entrepreneurs are squeezed harder: higher National Insurance, higher Corporation Tax, and higher Business Rates.
It’s pushing some out of business and many more overseas - talent, jobs, and investment Britain can’t afford to lose.
And yet, when it’s them, it’s just an “error” and a shrug of regret.
If it were you or me, there’d be fines, penalties, and headlines about “tax dodging.”
👉 Do you see this as an honest mistake anyone could make, or proof of yet more double standards?
