In the past i was buying monthly cards a lot, but now, the banners for me are pretty chill, so when i dont have "tight schedule" for characters i want, i dont buy monthly cards. I now play Gneshin, hsr and zzz from harumasa patch.

I just play Genshin for my gacha game, and I treat the battle pass and welkin as a monthly subscription. This game has provided me with so much fun, I'll happily give them money to bring me more fun!

Now, TECHNICALLY, I am F2P. But I do buy some outfits of my favorite characters and don't use the rest of the genesis crystals to pull for anything.

When I started playing Genshin, I went to game shop to see pricing for Genesis crystals. It was by far the most ridiculously expensive currency I've seen in all games I played. Welken/Battlepass seem more reasonable but I greatly dislike "committing" part. If you get burned out, tired, sick, you just lose money. I don't like such mechanics and don't want to pay for them. I'd only agree for paying for what's affected by game time, not real life time. So, I stay pure F2P, Genshin doesn't provide me a single monetizing option I'd want to use. In other games I could use premium for a bit where it often gives far better benefits just to achieve specific goals and then cancel, buying DLCs/content updates. For example, I find a game like ESO is a better waste of my money than Genshin.

Pure F2P for gacha, always will be. No temptations too hard to overcome at current point for a gacha. The day I'll start spending on a gacha is when the entire monetizing system goes through a total overhaul into a more acceptable one just like how I would gladly spend on Destiny 2 annual passes right till just before Beyond Light. But I guess that won't happen, instead, more likely, a more sinister monetization scheme will take its place eventually. 😅

With HSR, WuWa and ZZZ, I’m 100% f2p. With Genshin, I spent money exactly one time: to get Diluc’s skin. So, technically not f2p… but I never got a character with my genesis crystals, it all went to him. That man has been my main and my favorite since I started playing, so I think he deserves it hahaha

I was F2P at first but damn genshin gave me a hard time to give me a frikin damn weapon. You might not believe it but billet was a pretty rough item that I can required or sometime not at all even though I routinely farm on those bosses. My first DPS was hutao where she didn't even have much 3* or 4* weapon that fits her play style except white tassel, so yeah when xiao came out after that I decided to acquire a BP polearm weapon to complete my second team for the abyss. After that I mostly do welkin once or two and focus on my playthrough on story rather than sweety on abyss with "perfect" built of certain characters

i enjoy the game a lot so i buy welkin/bp monthly and i sometimes buy genesis crystals (but mostly only if they have the double up bonus. sometimes i do buy them without the bonus tho). i'd consider myself a dolphin

Sometimes welkin/Hsr monthly pass and did get monthly pass for a few months but not anymore. Zzz has been me hooked so im thinking of spending on that especially since Astra yao came out , shes too adorable..

Welkin, Battle pass and rarely genesis crystal (mostly new year packs with the X2 offers). However I admit that I have cashplayed full price a few times (but it was Furina's rerun, can I be blamed ? I had shit luck and got Dehya on both of her banners)

Almost f2p. Only buying the Welkin. Spent some money when I started to get kazuha and ayaka. I think 200 euro. But after that I stopped paying money for characters. It's a bit of a waste if you got other hobby's and interests

I'm mostly f2p but when it comes to a character that I'm really into, sometimes I'm going to buy welkin/monthly since we (at least in genshin/hoyo game) got a sneak peeks to what comes next, so i can be prepared for those specific character
