It’s come to my attention that a content thief has been reposting some of my most viewed videos on TikTok along side other stolen content from other channels.
Apparently this is a widespread problem and to solving it involves months of emailing TikTok to even attempt to get them taken down.
I’m not willing to do that, because as I think I’ve made pretty clear, I absolutely hate TikTok. I’m not willing to put TikTok on my phone just to report these things.
It’s disheartening that someone could just take the hours and hours of labor I put into my videos and in 5 seconds place them on TikTok for their own gain.
Something about seeing my little starfish people stolen sits especially sourly with me.
I’m not really sure how TikTok works, as I haven’t used it in years, but I guess I’m asking if you do use it, go report this account.
If you come across any of my content on TikTok know that it is not me, that I have not authorized it, and to not give them even more free engagement for no work at all, simply block and report.

Looking through the TikTok reporting menu it seems like you can only report IP/copyright infringement if you are the person affected by it 😒 The reporting interface might be accessible without having to actually get the app though? I still reported it as Other anyways, hope you can get this sorted out soon

@atelierofwitchhat

We can try to report it, but the only way to say something is copyright infringement is if you are the one reporting it. And you need to be verified on tiktok in order for us to say which account is being stolen from. We’ll do our best to block! and report in other ways! but yeah, just letting you know that’s what it’s like on tiktok nowadays in terms of theft reporting

Already reported and blocked the account but unfortunately had to choose "Other" as there's no specific option for stolen content.

i'm so with you on hating on tiktok, it's just the most unfair social media ever. it won't delete clearly stolen content but it will warn you over minor things. it won't ban people who are literally spreading slurs and death threats to the right and to the left while your comments will keep getting deleteted and you getting warnings because of some neutral words and calling some a-hole out.

Girl if I also didn't hate TikTok and refuse to have it on my phone I'd help report lol. Best of luck in getting this taken care of. Might be worth getting a trusted representative or something to handle it.

🎀🌸 I Tried To Report It For Copyright, But The Only Options Were “Me” {Meaning The Person Affected By It} & “Celebrity” {Meaning You Have To Be Verified On TikTok}❣️ So I Just Reported It For Deepfakes Instead❣️ Is That Ok With You?❣️

@froggybangbang

Sadly tiktok made it super hard to do this, because only the person can report, others seeing it happen cannot.

@wirt8976

To report copyright infringement on tiktok you need to either be the copyright holder, or the copyright holder has to have a tiktok account for you to connect to. Also tiktok will mark reports as "Not infringing guidelines" a solid 95% of the time regardless of if it is or not </3

I’m sorry this happened. Honestly I only found you because of the stolen content. It’s clear it’s a stolen YouTube video from the quality of your content, and the lack of name on the account. I came over here and searched it to watch it and I’ve done nothing but watch your channel all day! If you need a little bright side, you got a new follower ❤

I actually saw one of these on TikTok the other day and knew it was stolen but luckily someone in the comments credited you. An unfortunate way to find a new channel to watch but since then I’ve been binge watching your vids!

Time to put watermarks in all of your videos. Seriously. More and more content creators i follow on youtube are having to do this because the content theft is rampant. And even if you get tiktok to do anything, the offender will just make a new account. Watermarking your videos is all you can do.

I hate that your stuff is being stolen. But I want to let you know I saw a clip this morning on tik tok. Got invested in the narrative, but the remaining parts weren’t posted. So I went to YouTube to find you and now have subscribed. Doesn’t make it right, but wanted to let you know in case it helps (just a wee bit)

Sry this is happening to you. When people are lazy and evil they really are Lazy and Evil. They get away with it because people are busy making content but have no time for the ugly side of it. I wish you well and try not to let it bother you. Thank you for your content and the hard work that you do.
