The Walmart in my town gives a food stamp application when you get hired. If they pay 15 dollars a hour …which I doubt… but let’s say they do…15 a hour at 40 hours a week..full time…puts you smack dab on the American poverty line…30k a year. The poverty American working class. Now who is the welfare queen in this scenario?? The full time worker that makes poverty wages Or the billions dollar corporation that uses food stamps as some kind of evil benefit to work there? It is shameful

When I went to help my younger sister get on Medicaid we found out my older sister's information was already in the system because she worked at Amazon. The two systems are connected because they assume if you're working at Amazon that you'll need to apply for Medicaid.

I manage a department at Kroger. We got a $1/hr raise in January. That raise put everyone just over the income limit for Medicaid and EBT. For example, I make an extra $160/month before taxes, but I lost $200 in EBT and Medicaid coverage for myself. I've got a chronic illness. Yes, my employer offers healthcare (thru the union), but I can NOT afford the $32/week it costs. I'm at a net loss every month now. How is an extra $160 a month supposed to cover the $1000 plus in benefits I lost.

My gf is an employee of meijer and part of the union. She is on medicaid. Shes not full time but they will schedule her as close as possible and schedule is inconsistent. Usually off one day a week at random. Can’t really plan her life and even when she has days off they will call at 8-9 in the morning asking if she is free to come in and work. $14/hr btw. Meijer on paper is a small family business not a corporation.

I used to work for a Walmart distribution center and Amazon warehouses. Both companies were awful. Amazon hired us as seasonal employees for months and months to avoid giving benefits. Walmarts insurance cost so much we had to stop getting it. Only our kids ever qualified for Medicaid. Thankfully. But now I work for a small Japanese company and they are amazing! We have insurance as a family for the first time in a decade! They’ve proven to me the giant corporations just don’t care.

What about those of us who work for billion dollar hospitals who are on public assistance,, because we don’t get paid enough even though they make thousands per visit per person.

Most people on Medicaid work part time because many industries refuse to hire full time. The hourly rate is irrelevant because they just need to keep it below $22/hour if you work between 12 and 20 hours a week.

They pay so little that their workers need government assistance… while CEOs are rolling in dough,& don’t pay taxes !!!

Would like to hear a story on the cuts to Bureau of Indian Affairs and Tribal Sovereignty. The most valuable population of citizens on whom this land was stolen from. Musk is cutting Tribal programs

You should make this available in multiple languages. There are lots of recent immigrants and refugees who fall into this category and could benefit from what you all have to offer.

I had an educated person tell me they could always get a new job that provides insurance when I complained that Walmart, and Amazon workers have to use Medicaid. Then she had the nerve to say that these people get their nails done while on Medicaid. I know people who do their own nails. How does she know they are paying to get their nails done. Then she said something about them carrying telephones.. I pushed back really hard. What about all the white collar crime ripping off Medicaid and Medicare. My surgeon was sued by Medicare in a big hospital system for billing three surgeries at one time. Then it came out that he would actually go get coffee while these people are under and some of the people were old or not in good health, we’re losing their limbs due to pressure sores from laying on the table so long. My family and I were told 3.5 hours for surgery it was 7 hours. I remember waking up and my hip area felt like I was kicked by a horse. A smaller hospital in my town were putting heart stents in people who didn’t need them! What about Rick Scott the representative from Florida he was CEO of the hospital charged with $300 million in fraud. He pled the 5th 75 times in his deposition. His hospital would reward him with 10 million for stepping down. Pharmaceutical companies charged to much for drugs in our country. Look into white collar crime if you want to find fraud. Who are the Real people defrauding our government ??? Doge supposedly found waste at the pentagon that’s a joke. The pentagon has never passed an audit. They didn’t say anything about government contractors grossly overcharging for everything. $1700 soap dispensers that Boeing sold to the pentagon which are just like the soap dispensers found in any public restrooms . You could go on and on about the major abuses that nobody will talk about!

There should be no reason why Amazon employees are on Medicaid. Your healthcare starts on day 1. If your HR says you can't get healthcare, call the ERC

If they axe medicade... Does that mean the business will have to supply healthcare?
