Zelph on the Shelf

Blessed Good Friday to anyone who honors it. 🕊️ 🤍May we all invite more compassion for the suffering of others into our hearts over the next few days, especially those who are innocent victims of brutal systems.

“Jesus speaks of the innermost “I am,” the essence identity of every man and woman, every life-form, in fact. He speaks of the life that you are. Some Christian mystics have called it the Christ within; Buddhists call it your Buddha nature; for Hindus, it is Atman, the indewlling God.

What did Jesus tell his disciples? “Heaven is right here in the midst of you.” In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus makes a prediction that to this day few people have understood. He says, “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

In modern versions of the Bible, “meek” is translated as humble. Who are the meek or the humble, and what does it mean that they shall inherit the earth? The meek are the egoless. those who have awakened to their essential, true nature as consciousness and recognize that essence in all “others,” all life-forms.

I believe that Jesus realized his oneness with God and what he attempted to do was show the way to all of us—how to realize our own oneness with God also.”

I see the Jesus narrative as a metaphor for the crucifixion of the ego! When you crucify the ego, it resurrects in a new form! A form that recognizes that it is not the center of the fkn universe! We don't need to be "egoless." We just need to recognize that the ego is a part of the whole self and the self is a part of the collective! And all the selves in the collective need to be cooperating with each other! That's the dialectic of friendship! It's what you graduate to when you self actualize! When you synthesize the master slave dialectic!

Very kind of you to still wish us well, even after your own negative experiences with religion and Christianity. Happy Sunday to you, holy or mundane ❤️

“Happy” Good Friday is not the proper way to “celebrate”. Blessed Good Friday is appropriate for the honoring (not celebrating). My Ted talk is now over. 🙏
