Simply the greatest band of all time. So glad I got to see them in their prime at Manchester’s Apollo in 1979 during the London Calling tour. RIP Joe

The Beatles are my favorite band no doubt but I acknowledge The Clash as the greatest band of all time The London Calling album was there Sgt. Pepper such an eclectic and experimental album incorporating punk with reggae calypso Dixieland and an acute political awareness of what was occurring in Central America keep in mind this was only their third album and they showed incredible maturity
