I owe you a bit of an update and a heads-up about why there’s no video this week. But I'll start with the Good news: next week, I’ll (hopefully) be releasing our Teams biggest video of the year! It’s the second London scavenger hunt, this time for my Birthday, (filmed back in September) and I’m really excited to potentially do a group live chat when it drops. So it'd be cool to chat to a few of you during that vid if you have the free time. Plus, there will be an uncensored, extended version up on Patreon shortly after.
Speaking of Patreon, I can’t say enough how much it’s meant to me recently. It’s been a huge source of motivation, especially during those tough days when I was doubting myself, my skills, and even considering giving up altogether. Your support there has genuinely kept this channel going. Giving me belief that I'm at least doing something right.
So yeah, There’s no new filming lined up (paid or unpaid) for now. I literally just don't have the time! – But I’ll be focusing on the *30+ hours* of projects I’ve already shot and need to catch up on. Burnout and exhaustion have hit hard lately & I’m juggling editing with a full-time job, up at 6 a.m, come home to edit, Ruby comes home around 6 p.m., we eat, watch a movie, and then I’m back to editing until 1 a.m. I’m often surviving on 2-3 hours of sleep, which has started to feel weirdly “normal.”...and it shouldn't.
It’s also been affecting the time I get to spend with Ruby, which I hate! and it's hard to see my mates off camera without it somehow feeling like a wasted content opportunity? I dunno, I'm rambling a bit here but Sometimes, when I’m at festivals, holidays, events or gigs, I barely take it all in because I’m so focused on capturing footage. And, to be real here, I do feel the pressure to reply to every comment/message, it’s insanely hard to keep up with everything and everyone on multiple platforms, but make no mistake I do Love it! But I'm always worried about missing people. & There are always people asking for videos right after events, not realizing how much time and energy these projects take to create. - It really isn't easy!
When I start filming again, I’ll be prioritizing *quality over quantity* with our videos. After Christmas, I’ll be investing in new camera gear to keep raising the bar. As it stands I still have content for another 10+ videos already filmed!
I want every single person who watches, supports, or shows up to feel valued and have a great experience. That’s a big part of why I put so much pressure on myself – I never want to let anyone down. Be it a like/dislike, comment, t-shirt hell even a View! I see it all and it actually means something to me!
