Mine went down about $200,000 but I'm not stressed or worried. Markets are not supposed to only go up.

The Great Recession was a blessing as young people in our careers. It allowed cheap buying and proved the market rebounds.

I agree with this 100% but I feel for the people who planned to retire in the immediate future who now cannot. Many of my 60+ year old colleagues don't have a 20 year planning horizon anymore. This forced recession is terrible.

Not changing a thing. Auto invest weekly no matter what. Like you, In the beginning, this would have had me acting crazy and impulsive, but doesn’t cause me anything now days.

I'm not freaked, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pretty pissed off. This is because of one person and one person only, and it could have been handled significantly better than it was. All that aside, I upped what I contribute each week, so now we're at $2k a week. We're down -$200k since the end of Feb. I don't know if I can take much more of this Making America Great Again, it's been "beautiful"! 🤣🤣

Marriage Kids and Money
Our investments have taken a major beating lately. Personally, we're down $100k over the last month!
In the beginning on our investing journey, this would have freaked me out completely. But after living through the Great Recession over 15 years ago and the COVID market crash 5 years ago, I realize this is all part of the investing game.
By sticking to our investment plan, we've grown our net worth from $0 to over $1 million.
With 20 years left in my retirement investing journey, I feel confident staying invested for the long term.
