Finally, I got around to watching it, and I think it is honestly one of these most well-educated, articulated, constructed, and created videos I have ever seen (ON ANY TOPIC) PERIOD. Ash. You truly are a treasure and I applaud you for your passion and fire.

I love the time and dedication you put into your videos. This video and the previous one have been a real treat and it’s so refreshing to listen to your voice explain and breakdown these themes and ideas. Your perspective is so appreciated, especially at a time like this. <3

The world sucks for anyone who wants to be themselves and not conform to the "norm". I keep hoping that the next generation is not going to give a stuff about rigid gender identities, but there are always people with enough money and influence to lie to keep their status quo. But keep up the good fight. Those that change the social discourse must, unfortunately, be in the public eye. But, I believe that living your best and most authentic life and sharing it on Youtube is an amazing way to connect with people. I don't know how many older people suddenly were ok with the LBG part once they knew someone that was LBG. As more trans people become visible, then it is going to be a little harder to hate your cousin, one of your in-laws, a co-worker or the neighbor kid. Thank you for your bravery and what you do to make the world a better place.

It's a fantastic video, I know the people you mentioned in here are very unlikely to change, but we can show the truth to those who aren't yet entirely lost to the hate and that's the only way forward. You were one of the first trans creators I ever encountered. Growing up, I only saw representation for the L and G, so it took a long time for me to recognise and understand my own identity (I'll accept bi/pan interchangeably but also way down the grey spectrum, not quite ace but close). I wonder how different my life would have been if I'd been exposed to the whole gender and sexual spectrum earlier. If i had seen the feelings I had represented in the media - how much of the "well I can't be a lesbian because i like guys" internal struggles I would have been spared. Despite now being way more aware of trans and NB people, both IRL and in my media consumption, I've never even wondered if I could be trans. I'm cis AFAB but the mere fact that I know I'm a woman is exactly the reason I believe trans people when they state their gender. It breaks my heart seeing the hate, but inspires me seeing how the younger generation seem much more accepting. The one hope I have is that people aren't just exposed to their own little worlds anymore - the WWW gives people access to community in a way that didn't exist when I was growing up. I have to hope that love and acceptance won't be as hard to fight for because of that knowledge.

Between gigs and spending time/ spoons on my friend-fam folx, it took me a couple days to watch. This series is both heartbreaking and affirming. The state of the trans youth ... I've been putting off getting my top surgery. What if the insurance company denies my claim? Thousands of dollars... the world is trying to invalidate my identity and it's terrifying. So I needed a couple days, but thank you for this video.

Watched and loved it. Good stuff as usual. Already sent this and the first part to some friends. Thanks for covering these topics.

This video is so well put together! One of the things that hurts me the most as a trans person is feeling like I can’t speak out against hate and misinformation, because acknowledging it feels like I’m legitimizing it and giving that hate some credibility. I wish this world wasn’t so hateful and cruel, and I wish people would look at facts and the happiness of their loved ones instead of buying into hateful conspiracy misinformation at our expense.

Such a good video, Ash. I’ve followed you since the artsy video with all the post-it notes! Watching you grow and change has taught me a lot. I see you. I appreciate you. I love you. Thank you

Watched it earlier today :)) incredible video as always. I'm so sorry you were put through so much shit but know that by making the content you made you've helped so many people ❤️ I discovered your channel years ago when i was around 12, and I can't tell you how valuable it was to have such a comprehensive and positive education on all things queer at the critical age I was at, and during a time when so many of my peers were on some wild anti-SJW shit. Nothing they taught in my school on LGBTQIA+ issues was as valuable as some of the shit I found here on your channel. Thanks for being such a genuinely positive force on the Internet fr ❤️

I watched it yesterday and ouch. I've had a fair few of the same accusations hurled at me, though to a lesser extent than you. It freaking sucks that we are vilified for existing. Simply existing in a way that hurts or affects no one else. You are awesome.

I’ve watched it twice now, once with my cishet sister! she loved it and found it very engaging

Really a fantastic video. As someone starting a teaching career who's nonbinary and uses They/Them pronouns, I'm constantly debating with myself whether being my authentic self and coming out is worth the potential parents/principals who will see me as a dangerous or inappropriate presence in their children's lives. So far I've just been sucking it up and going by my agab title and pronouns cause trying to navigate this before I'm even settled in the profession feels like it would be equivalent to shooting myself in the foot

I watched it. Commented. Shared. If I knew how to do it...I would put it on repeat while I sleep so it keeps the view count going up. Lol.

Waiting till I’m in a better headspace to watch a video on such a heavy subject that hits so close but I’m eager to see what you have to say! Your perspective and research will be a welcome voice to the conversation.

Ash, hust a suggestion: please add link to end of the text of the post or in a pinned comment. Think it would help, bc for mostly anyone else i would click on their profile and then look for recent vids. I know it's lazy, but it's true. You do you. I love your content so, so much, and i really owe the start if my happiness to you, along with v usefulness and informative vids to share when i don't have spoons to educate literally anyone cis apparently

i bet you're a way better parent than most of the people making these claims though so joke's on them, your kids are going to be happy

The effort you put into the video really shows!! Definitely more professional in quality and veracity than the news broadcasts that fearmongered us here.

I feel like this may just be one of those videos people don't want to watch :/ I couldn't bring myself to do it, even looking at transphobia through a positive lens still tends to bring their ideas into my head where they precede to bounce around.

Had a chance to watch this yet? In my newest video essay I challenge the explosive wave of claims we’ve seen around the world recently which contend that LGBT+ folks are trying to indoctrinate children. Dispelling these myths is SO critical right now, and I implore you to share this video. I poured quite a bit of my heart into it, and I hope you enjoy 💕
