Words of a dog owner ....

Move evidence dogs owners are conflicted and in a love hate relationship

These are the words of a dog owner. Yes he was crucified but he's proving the even dog owners are sick of this culture. Read it all.

DOG OWNER : This will be very hypocritical of me saying this as a dog owner... but I have been believing that dogs should generally go extinct or humans should stop having dogs or any other animals as pets. I got my first dog and it has been two years. Before that I never wanted to get a dog because all the dog owners I have seen were mostly selfish and irresponsible. I didn't want the dog to get depressed or bored when I would just leave him or her at home. But one day my wife just begged to go to the shelter just because... she had been asking for a dog but I said no. Then of course she wanted to carry a puppy at the shelter but when I saw him and his eyes, I just couldn't leave him at the shelter. So we ended up adopting him. After that I would study, research, train and exercise with him and I just fell in love with my dog. But everyday we have to go to work and would leave him at home. He had no issues staying by himself but I just feel very sorry for him everyday. I play with him before and after work to make sure he gets his energy out and stay happy. After getting my dog I definitely interacted with other dog owners through dog park, training, etc. But the more I see it, aren't all dogs just emotional slaves of human beings?

We want them to only looks at us, look cute when we want to. Dogs are bred for their looks and we shop based on how they look. If their nails are in the way, just surgically remove them. If they bark, just get rid of their voice. If they ears don't look as cute, just cut them off to look majestic. Some dogs are genetically unhealthy and they can barely live on their own but it's okay because they look ugly and cute. Some dog owners want people to see their dogs everywhere so why not make them service dogs...(not the actual service dogs that people need them for)

Honestly 90% of the owners I've seen were like that. They only cared about what they think was best for them but not for their dogs. They leave them at home all day do nothing for them but expect dogs to stay at home like a stone not causing any trouble. They don't realize dogs are still animals and don't even consider to get their energy out. They want them to only love themselves and act all human. Some people just let their dogs free at dog park to let them explode their energy and let their aggression come out. But they are okay because they think their dogs are still adorable. Some don't even want their dog near others dogs at the park because their dog is a princess and should behave like one.
