Rey Mysterio won the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 22 in a triple threat match which also involved Kurt Angle, who was the champion going into the match, and Randy Orton. But it wasn't the last match on the card. Main event matches are the last matches on the card, no matter what Vince McMahon says. That means none of this double or triple main event BS.

Sad fact after I guessed correctly: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Aside from the Royal Rumble matches, when those were the main event, Rey Mysterio has never main evented a Big Four PPV (closest time were Royal Rumble 2010, SummerSlam 2010 and Survivor Series 2019 when he was in the semi-main event on both events).

Thought it was Ted but I believe he had a Tag match but I don't recall him being in a main event. Even when he was a part of Legacy. Rey I swore he retained his title or won the title at Wrestlemania but I at least remember that match he had VS JBL where he caused JBL to quit. Was a non title and in the middle of the PPV so true? I need to do some research I guess.
