Paris, TX, and it's not even close. I hear people talking about Paris all the time.

Why is San Antonio so unpopular? San Antonio de Béxar is the oldest capital of Texas and IMO, blends and preserves Texan cultures and influences much better than the other three.

I'm not from the US but I'd say Houston. Seems like it's mentioned most often. Idk what else about it. Can't say it has an iconic skyline or major landmarks like other cities

As some from UK, I Voted for Houston. I think it would be the first one that came to my head if somebody asked me to name a city from Texas.

The people who picked Dallas haven't been there. The best thing about Dallas is the aquarium.

Am from East Texas and for me it’s definitely Houston honestly I feel like people in Texas and other parts of the country intend to forget East Texas where it’s all pine forest swamps huge lakes and has a culture similar to Louisiana every time people think of Texas they think of the food cowboys sports and Austin Houston Dallas San Antonio The Alamo and desert 🏜️ or the plains in central Texa

It is because of the 80s tv show Dallas and the Cowboys.

As someone who lives in San Antonio, Dallas is the most Texan city. They embody every part of this state for better and for worst

I'm not American, but I automatically think first of Dallas when asked about what is the most iconic Texan city

I guess it depends on who you ask. Iconic to whom and for what reasons? They each have their own aspect of Texas culture and place in Texas history. I chose San Antonio because of the Alamo and it is large Hispanic population and culture (which I'm apart of).
