In the Quiet Between Us - bb

In the hush between our words,
I found a space both tender and torn.
You, steadfast amidst life's storms,
Me, adrift, seeking a distant dawn.

You bore the weight of many worlds,
Yet offered me your fragile light.
I, entangled in silent swirls,
Failed to hold your beacon tight.

Moments linger—late-night flights,
Missed calls, and shared refrains.
Echoes of our intertwined nights,
Now drift through memory's lanes.

I pondered love, questioned its hue,
Was it habit or something more?
Yet in these verses, I see what's true—
A bond that time cannot restore.

So here's my ode, a silent plea,
To the love we couldn't sustain.
May you find serenity,
Beyond our shared refrain.
