I remember having to watch a video of some of this back in Highschool. I remember watching Japanese soldiers run into the street and one ripped a baby out of a woman’s hands, threw it up in the air and impaled it on his guns bayonet. It was sad and disgusting and still sticks in my mind 30 years later ..

What is even more poetic, in that time, Japanese was taking over China, it almost like the Chinese government at that time didn't want be forced into a democratic government, because people have guns means forcing the government to listen to the people. As much as I hate Mao, I can see why he said the only way to get things do is a gun of a eye of a barrel.
