i really don't like blocking people in a niche community, especially because there are so few of us out there who have the interest (being sparta remix). it shouldn't have to, but it takes a lot for me to have to cut someone off, whether it's being a jerk or doing something horrible. to make collaborations awkward by making me have to make the decision of removing you from my life and blocking you is honestly something i hate doing, but it is best for my mental health. it fills me with immense pain that i have to do this to ANYONE in a niche such as this, but some of you really do ruin the hobby for me. you bring in this negative attitude and horrible behavior whether it be from the people you're around or an environment that enables you to feel this way. i honestly hate negative people and the corruption they bring, this community is about visual boxes and audio ffs, and some of you have turned everyone's work into a shark tank episode where the judges are extremely harsh for no reason. focus on the love and creativity put in, rather than just the small things. like do you see those amazing visuals that only someone who really loves the source could make? focus on that. do you hear those really clever sample choices? focus on that. do you hear that slightly loud percussion sample? ignore that. do you hear that quote you slightly don't like? ignore that. comment the stuff you DO like and THAT will be the creator's way of positively GETTING what you like and will do more of, they'll see what people comment less on and work accordingly to get people to comment that they like it. do better as people and uplift others, even if you aren't a fan of someone's work in all aspects. nothing needs to be perfect, and nothing IS perfect. we're human beings, our work is prone to imperfection, but our work is all unique with fun little quirks to each person's style.
