Sad news. Another great childhood memory dissapears from our world. His was an innocent character perfectly melded in a cast of oddballs who managed to make us laugh without vulgarity because their characters were so familiar and real.

I feel like all those I grew up watching as a kid are going like flies recently. Dad’s army had excellent writing and acting. I know we say this time and time again, but they were better shows back in those days. Sad to hear of “Pike” passing, he really was the last of the bunch.
