For those who have watched baby shakespeare and other baby einstein videos, you might be familiar with the train in the first picture. It's called the torpedo. I actually have the toy in real life, but I only have the locomotive, the observation coach and caboose are missing. You'll probably find it hard to believe that this torpedo train is actually based on Pennsylvania railroad 3768, a 4-6-2 K4s locomotive. Built in June of 1920, streamlined in 1936, and unfortunately scrapped in 1953, meaning this poor locomotive had a short-lived career of 33 years in total.
