Comment Your Answer: What would your average day look like if you put less pressure on yourself? If you just eased up on the gas a bit?

I would spend as much time as possible hanging out with my kids……everyday, that’s calmest for me.

Actually, it’s been a while since I took it easy on myself and my to do list. Even when I take a break, I feel a bit of guilt and my thoughts never stop haunting me to do more and more. Will take this post as a sign and maybe start working on this more in my 25th new year!

I’ve been practicing “easing up on the gas” for a few years and it works. For example, instead of cramming 1,001 things in to one day, (grocery store run, Walmart, the carwash, washing & folding clothes & the gym) I pick two tasks & that’s that for the day, aside from work. Tomorrow I can do one or two more & so on! Rushing & cramming things in leads to unnecessary stress and often more delays!

Scott, when are you going to start posting videos again? I find them really helpful.

I constantly blame myself for doing a bad job (as I see it). In fact, no one really says me that I’m a bad employee. A couple of weeks ago, I caught myself thinking about it again, stopped for a second, and thought, “Damn, I’m just a person, not a machine. I don’t have to do everything perfectly. I’m constantly stressed out by my own thoughts, What the hell is wrong with me?” And now, every time I think badly about myself in the context of work, I take a breath and repeat to myself, “It’s okay that something isn’t perfect, one day I’ll get better. For now, I just want to be happy and work in peace” Easing up on the gas is what everyone truly needs to feel better
