who’s nova, and why did you kill them? in all seriousness, i hope that whatever the second video turns out to be, it’s just entertaining. that first discord video was like lightning in a bottle and sure, it was the video that put your channel on my radar… but it was your delightfully cursed/well-executed mashups (and more recently, original electronic/plunderphonics music) that made me a subscriber. videos like that will get your channel noticed, but it’s the content you put out in between that is gonna keep people like me coming back. you keep on doing you my friend 🙂👍

The Man Downstairs
Hey everybody, important announcement. Lot of words, but I've tried to cut it down real short.
You know Half-Life 3? How every time the devs tried to make it it got more and more difficult, and eventually the hype surrounding it got too massive and whatever they made wouldn't be good enough?
That's what I'm facing right now. Recording for the second Discord Sings Daft Punk meme finished in just under a day several months ago, but every time I try to edit it it gets larger in scope.
About 80 subscribers left my channel in the last 48 hours or so, and I imagine this is exactly why; after almost 6 months of not posting any videos, the video I *did* post wasn't in any way the Discord video.
I really do want to make the video, but I feel like the hype surrounding a sequel to my one viral video is almost impossible to get over.
I can't monetize any of my content because so much of it isn't entirely original. I've had less hours to do the editing and posting stuff because I've been searching for a job.
I WILL TRY TO PUT TOGETHER THE DISCORD SINGS VIDEO. I CANNOT GUARANTEE SUCCESS.
After this though, I'm going to have to put out original music if I ever want to monetize my channel again.
I appreciate all of you, and I appreciate the patience of about 99% of my audience.
