As a cranky old ex-Army grunt your channel might not be my "usual" fare but you have a gentle spirit and calming attitude that is impossible to resist, and you bring a lot of historical knowledge to whatever your topic might be. Your growth is well deserved and hopefully will continue long into the future!

I just wanted to let you know I was watching one of your videos and my fiance happened to see it and now he is binge watching your videos! What you do is absolutely fascinating thank you for doing it!

I’m so happy I stumbled upon your channel a few months ago. I watched your medieval sleeping video to get cozy in bed last night.

I found your channel last year during a difficult time and the laid back vibes, personal but formal dialogue and artful camera work kept me engaged aside from the subject matter itself which is very interesting to me as someone who grew up in poverty only able to wear uncomfortable plastic clothes donated to my family. I hope one day I can sew my own clothes out of real materials like cotton and linen and wool, in such historical fashions which promoted comfort.

I've always loved social history (Samuel Pepys is one of my favourite historical figures), and I found your channel a few months ago through YouTube saying "if you like this type of content try this video". I for one will always be a supporter of your journeys through history.

Congratulations!! I only recently came across your content and have absolutely adored going on the adventures with you vicariously. My Mom was visiting me over this past weekend (she now lives 8 hours away after being across town from me for 15 years) and she enjoyed watching your videos with me so much! It was a wonderful bonding and conversational starting experience to share together. Thank you so much for your soothing, engaging, interesting and intellectual content!

Happy to be a new subscriber. Your content is very unique and educational and you seem like such a sweet and genuine person. I love that you have embraced a feature of history and integrated it Into your life. I'm curious as to what got you started on that particular path with the historical clothing.

Thank you so much everyone for 200,000 subscribers! Around this time last year I hit 100,000 subscribers, so it feels incredible to see how exponentially the channel has been growing. There are many more exciting topics planned for the coming year, and I'll also begin shooting the episodes for some of my dream projects. I appreciate your ongoing support!
P.S. The photo is a self-portrait, and was actually extremely difficult to shoot. But in the end, it turned out the way I had envisioned it.
