This would also include tablets, phones, pretty much any kind of video game media

Yup, mostly my Nintendo Switch and my PS5. Both are excellent consoles with a solid library.

Nintendo is my main console. Playstation I've always wanted to check out, and Xbox has kinda backstabbed me too many times for me to consider them, and every game on the Xbox is on the PC soooooo I don't see why I'd want xbox. Though I mostly PC game nowadays. With a preference for VR games since I'm very sensitive to VR to the point where it tricks the subconscious part of my brain to thinking I'm there and stuff. Also, most VR games are relaxing/slow paced to make it so VR can do it's thing properly, and when you relax, it makes it easier to realize how tired you are. So I don't stay up until 4am playing VR like I do with "flat screen" games, since a lot of the "flat screen" games I own are grindy, or require you to be super try-hard, so you kinda forget about your body in order to accomplish what is in game. My main go-to games are: Smash - It's what got me into Nintendo. I could dedicate my life to many of the Nintendo franchises, but this kinda combines all of them so it's always a good time. Also fighting games (even platform fighters) you get more "player expression" than other genres. Chess - Preferably in VR, because I like seeing people's reactions (I am pretty good, so I like to experiment and be trolly quite a bit), and letting random people join/leave whenever they want while we chat about random stuff. MechWarrior/BattleTech - MechWarrior 2: 31st century combat was my first PC game I ever played. For a long time I just thought my rose-tinted glasses would love the game despite it's faults, so I assumed no one else would want to play. Then when I played through MechWarrior 5, a ton of people were interested and made me realize it has more appeal than I thought it would. Also, ever since MWO (I played back when power creep wasn't super strong, and everyone didn't find out a meta yet so it was good), I never knew about the Inner sphere or their mechs, since I only played with the clans and clan mechs in MW2. So I decided to look more into the lore because of that, especially when I heard faction gameplay was planned to be a thing. Started to get addicted to the lore of the BattleTech universe, soo I'm kinda entrenched in the series now. Other Mecha games don't quite scratch the same itch as MechWarrior. Like Armored Core 6 is like the perfection of what I'd want out of the mecha formula that I saw most mecha games do where it's all super fast gundam like mechs with laser swords (so outside of tutorials being added at weird spots I'd say it's 10/10.). Thing is MechWarrior is basically slow walking tanks, where every shot counts, and the terrain is vital to your survival. Armored Core you're more fragile, it's much more spray and pray, but since it's Fromsoft there is at least a hard emphasis on properly timing your shots and dodging, and terrain is really not that important since you can go in and out of any place at any moment, and properly timed dodges are basically your free cover anywhere.

Great games aren't limited by which company it is, so I would say mostly everything

I'm mostly Nintendo, with the Switch being my most played on console by far, but that doesn't mean I don't play ANY non-Nintendo games. Like come on, Dark Souls, Sonic, Final Fantasy? Not to mention a bunch of PC games that were brought over to consoles.

Alot of games I play are cross platform between Xbox ps5 and PC so playing a switch exclusive helps reset some of the boredom I get from playing badwatch 1.5 after glitch fest infinite

Gaming is an expensive hobby. I’ve owned every console since the GC/XBX/PS2 era and Ive had a PC also. I think its a bit silly to be a one company elitist. If you really like games theres no other choice.
