Batman Black and White is still a phenomenal anthology series that took some of the best writers and artists from both DC and the comics medium as a whole, and each gave them the opportunity to put their own unique spin on the Dark Knight. I was especially enthralled with the tales that were created by Klaus Janson, Katsuhiro Otomo, Jim Lee, Bruce Timm, Brian Bolland, Archie Goodwin, Paul Dini, Alex Ross, Paul Pope, and so on.

Batman the black mirror is one of my favorite reads, it’s one of the essential Dick Grayson Batman stories for me

Court of Owls was my first and still my favourite Batman comic. Capullo's art blew me away and his Batman is the image I have when I think of Batman

Scott Snyder's run was my introduction to Batman and I still adore the entire first omnibus (Court of Owls to Zero Year). Dark Patterns and Absolute Batman are crushing it. I don't know about Hush 2 though.

Happy Batman Day! 🦇 Zero Year is one of my absolute favourites, but I really loved Failsafe from more recently too, I thought that rocked. (Though I was more mixed on the rest of the Zdarsky run) Dark Patterns has been one of my favourite titles recently too. Just utterly fantastic stuff. I haven't read the new #1 yet but I'm excited to check it out! Especially since I absolutely adore Jimenez's artwork, and I'm definitely curious about Fraction on the title

I just finished all of Jeph loeb and Tim sales Batman stories, there all fantastic especially the weird eerie and gothic art style that is so unique to Tim sale. My favorite was probably dark victory, but another underrated book in the series is catwoman: when in Rome and I thought it was great too!

Absolute Batman is a modern masterpiece! And the White Knight universe is one of my favorite takes on the dark knight mythos ever. And lastly just read Snyder's run on Batman. Truly a masterpiece

For a long time now, I've loved Legends of the Dark Knight. Back Issues got me into the series, and I think it's a concept they should bring back as an ongoing. The rotating creative team every 5-6 issues is such a cool formula

The Dark Knight Returns and Night of the Owls have always been my favorite Batman stories

Batman: Gothic by Grant Morrison is up there as one of my favorites. Such a strange story that made me fall in love with the Legends of the Dark Night title.

Recently finished Batman Prey and Terror after playing Arkham city and speaking into existence that Hugo Strange should be a villain in The Batman part 2. Good reads, right here

Batman War on Crime. I get emotional whenever Bruce talks crime can leave scars on a person.

Batman War on Crime is still my top Batman story. It has everything, from just how effective Batman can be, to how effective Bruce Wayne can be, and how compassionate Bats is.

City of Crime is a wildly underrated storyline helmed by one of the best in the business.

Obviously the seminal run of Grant Morrison's Batman. I massively enjoyed the whole run but the first third has a special place in my heart. I also really love Snyder's Zero Year, despite its reputation.

Apparently, today is Batman Day!
Let's celebrate by talking about some of our favourite Batman books from the past and present - I've been loving Absolute Batman, and the new Batman #1 by Matt Fraction is excellent (if you haven't read it yet).
