Hurricane Milton update. Hey guys, I'm alive and we're heading back to the house now. The bad news is our area received 18 inches of rain over the course of a few hours. From the pictures my buddy has sent me we had about 6-8 inches of water in the house and the studio which is a different building nearby. What that means is that the next week is gonna be a ton of work ripping out carpet and dry wall, treating for mold, and navigating the nightmare that is insurance. Unfortunately I can't really work on videos during this time so probably won't see another video from me for at least a week and a half...

I appreciate everyone who has reached out. Me the wife and our ferrets are all ok and this could have been a lot worse. It's certainly not great, but other people in the area are suffering far more than we are.

Your videos helped me get deep into 40k and become invested in it as a hobby. Prayers to the God Emperor that everything goes smoothly and that you can return to normal swiftly. The Emperor Protects!

Having gone through the process of dealing with a flooded out house after hurricane; dude, don't worry about the vid. Just focus on you and your loved ones recovering from the storm. It can be very difficult and hit in ways you don't expect, so take your time, man. Much love, and good luck, dude.

I hate that the algorithm is unforgiving for situations like this

Ooof... that's a lot of water! Good to hear you're all still safe and housed! Only ever encountered flooding once, at a friends place (like half the basement, you could literally swim in it) and it's not great... Best of luck with insurance. Hope the damage ain't too severe.

Even though others are suffering worse, it's okay to be upset about a bad thing happening to you. I'm glad you and the family are safe, and know that no one is stressing you being late on videos. Getting your setting comfortable and safe again is a very understandable first priority :D

I'm glad to hear that you've safe. Take all the time you need to recover, we'll be patient. Best of luck with the insurance company!

Think about hiring an attorney. If your insurance company tells you they don’t see your claim as covered, but you’re looking at the policy and you think it is covered, that’s the time to go chat with an attorney.
