NEET PG - two shift exams on August 11th Initial queries answered On multiple shift exams - usual process (in NEET PG 2024's case - 2 shifts) 1) Exam would be in 2 shifts (usually one shift in the morning and another in the afternoon) 2) A candidate can be allotted in Shift 1 or Shift 2. This will be NBE's decision. 3) The candidate will attend the exam in that particular shift he/she is allotted (as per Admit Card) 4) Timing, process and all rules will be the same for both shifts 5) Both shifts will have different question papers 6) Level of difficulty may not be the same in both question papers. So usually a normalization is done. This is done to avoid issues with "candidates who attended the more difficult paper - getting lower marks". Likely that conversion of raw scores into percentiles in both shifts and ordering by %ile and then deriving the final percentile / ranks out of this might be followed. One does not need to get into this much at this stage. (IGNORE THIS NOW: SEE NOTE BELOW which is what one should ideally do now) We need to wait for further info on the above - info on shifts and normalization on an explanation on normalization from NBE. Expecting that in a few days time. Important Note: None of the above (2 shifts or normalization) should affect or impact the way you prepare. All the rules for the exam are the same. The syllabus, preparation, mode of exam, total time available, section wise time - all are expected to be the same. So no change in preparation is required as of now. Right now would suggest to concentrate on your preparation for the exams.
