tl;dr: I'm making this video under the assumption that Bill Murray's Garfield IS a demon. That's just the beginning.

Dude, Garfield and his franchise was such a big part of my childhood, I'm so hyped for whatever you're cooking.

My brother and I (mostly I) were obsessed with the second live-action Garfield movie as older kids. The scene where they question which cat is Garfield and then as soon as he kicks Odie of the seat they know it’s him? Chef’s kiss. Speaking of chefs, the unsanitary sequence of the animals making lasagna is stuck in my mind. Also the dancing was only ‘silly’ to me because my only concept of cringe hit when I watched the Ninjago movie years later.

Wow I just happened to be watching a Hoodwinked video of yours from 3 YEARS ago where you mention working on this theory. You've clearly got a lot of ideas on the backburner for a long time.

I always liked the live action Garfield movies! It got me into Garfield a bit. To add, Odie was so handsome!!! Also especially since I felt really happy and cool that I live in the same city (Muncie, Indiana) as the creator of “Garfield”, Jim Davis. He lives in a town over now but it still counts!

That’s actually smart though. They created 2 shitty movies they KNEW no one would sit through or pay attention deeply to, unless, someone who was actually dedicated to the unknown. It’s like this was made just for Theorizer.

The central premise of the Garfield comics is that Jon Arbuckle is pathetic. He's a failed cartoonist. The most interesting thing about him is his cat. It's based on what Jim Davis was going through at the time in his real life, with the unpopularity of Gnorm the Gnat and his followup Jon, that was basically Garfield without the cat, that was extremely bleak in its tone and that nobody read. Davis is on record as loving Real Cat Garfield, because it perfectly captures the point of the comic strip. If you pay attention, Garfield never shows empathy for Jon, and Jon never directly reacts to what Garfield 'says' - because Garfield doesn't speak. His dialogue is what Jon imagines he might say if he could talk.

The Theorizer
In the past...
People have called Garfield a demon.
They've called him an alien.
A monster in control of Jon's life.
These claims are with good reason.
But nobody has caught something much worse.
There are 2 films that people dislike.
Critically panned. Roasted.
Never talked about.
These movies sacrificed everything... for a simple truth.
They put it all on the line...
They built up a conspiracy in plain sight.
Because the true nightmare isn't even this orange alien lasagna lovechild...
But rather everyone around him.
