I was thoroughly shocked but I wish the one-take fight scene didn't have so much CGI in it. One of the best things about the previous one-takes was how visceral and raw they were but this one felt like everyone was in front of a green screen

I get the choice with the death but I don’t really see why they had to replace basically the whole og cast, don’t see why it would be any different if he was in the office with foggy and Karen. I understand the motivation to have him quit being dd but still, felt a bit unnecessary considering how beloved those chars were

I kinda saw it coming, I didn't think it would start the episode but I had a feeling that Foggy would be killed off. They needed a catalyst for the story and they added Foggy and Karen so late, and didn't show him in the trailers. It was brilliantly shot but you can kinda see the seams between the rewrites and their original idea, and I can tell their original plans sucked.

I’m sad about Foggy, but I stand by the show’s choice and think it really worked. Nobody can tell me that Bullseye ambush wasn’t everything we have been dying to see from Bullseye. It only makes sense that he kills someone’s Matt loves, that’s what he does and Karen managed to avoid her fate last season. Matt protecting them every single time is unrealistic tbh. I also think the addition of the new cast is welcome and needed, this is a new chapter in his life and there are far more characters in the comics than just Foggy and Karen and I’m ready to explore that after 3 entire seasons of just them.

Wish Karen and Foggy hadn’t just been added in reshoots. I’m not warming to their counterparts from the pre-re-write. Hopefully a solution will present itself. Also Bullseye deserves more time, his character was deep.

Would’ve liked more time with Foggy, but I’m also not complaining. Brilliant way to pull us right in and give an excuse to Matt not being DD

Had a feeling it would happen and it makes me sad but curious to see its impact play out. Do wish it was at the end of the episode instead though so we would have had more time with N, M and P first.

Stellar, the first 2 eps incredible. Ep 2 might be the best episode of all of the series.

Sad about it but it was needed to prove to us that Disney wasn't gonna Disney daredevil

Hated it. So much. Right away you can tell that it's an afterthought, the tone is completely different then the rest of the episode. I hate when well established fan favorites get killed off instead of thoughtfully written into the story in way where they matter more than just shock value. And now they can't do any future episodes with that character. It's just a waste. Matt has enough trauma, it was pointless to kill his best friend.

I was shocked, cause I never saw Foggy die in the comics (can’t say the same for Karen though)

Reminds me of that unnecessary death of John Connor in Terminator 6

I didn't cry. Everyone else cried. Ok, I cried. Freaked my cat out when I screamed, "FOGGY, NOOO!"

I mean, they did it good but tbh i am not a fan of that. I was so hyped to see my trio and to kill him off right here was just not my thing. The rest of Episode 1&2 was really good. Not as great as the original but for sure very good and for sure the best disney+ show yet.

Seems like a really weird choice. I’ve heard from people that have seen the whole show that it makes sense that I hope they’re right.

Felt like there definitely should've been more room in the episode before, and after because what should be one of the most devastating deaths in marvel television ended up feeling rushed in IMO
