Depends on the size of the animal. If it is a cute little animal cherish it, if it were a hungry bear or worse then you're doomed.

You walk, they walk. You stop, they stop. They won’t attack unless you let them know you see them and you're afraid of. Stillness in forest, example, is a sign of weakness, aggression or fear. Wild animals will avoid if you act as part of the forest. Forest by night is not silent. Never turn back. BUT! Always keep in mind the kind of animals would be around you. And learn about them before being in panic in front of them. Lived. Meanwhile... what are you doing outside by night??

Depends on the type of animal. Bucks are ok they won’t bother you. Big cats don’t like fire or climb unless it’s a leopard, some like water but lions don’t. Snakes best to wait same with elephants and hippo’s if you sleeping in the bush and they eating it’s noisy but they won’t step on you. Don’t go near bodies of water if you know there are Crocodile they can see you. If you walking at night and you are in an area that has big cats go in pairs. Make as much noise as possible and Run. 😂 make sure you out run you friend

Most people do not have a means to just start a fire right away. That answer is absurd.Trees are not present in a desert or most people can not climb a tree.A wild animal could be one that will not bother you, like an armadillo, opposum, raccoon, deer, bobcat.
