I consider myself something of an artist as well as an educator. I have to be, because art has always been my highest passion.
I realized something about the nature of the new aesthetic I am trying to evoke. It's highly niche. So much so, that it is probably going to be held as indignant (at least for now). With any particularly challenging niche and especially given a more novel one, there is a responsibility on the artist to evoke it to its fullest. I do hear what you are saying! However, what I am going to do in response is not to back away from it, but to perfect it. Any true artist will tell you that listening to the audience is the fastest way to failure. Not because they are "wrong" but because they simply do not see the final product as it has existed in the artist's mind and heart.
This said! I am going to be taking down and re-recording my two scripted videos thus far. I will bring them back up again once I have changed not just the exactitude of the vibe I am trying to evoke...but something within myself as well.
