Leroy Truth Investigations

🚨🚔 QUESTION FOR YOU FROM LEROY TRUTH 🚔🚨

Should police officers face FOUR TIMES the penalties when they’re caught speeding? ⚖️

Police routinely ignore speed limits even when they're not working and usually they give each other "professional courtesy "if they are stopped by a fellow police officer and they are completely let go with no tickets and usually a wink and a nod and a laugh.

We can’t have rules for thee but not for me. Too many cops 🚓 fly past the speed limit daily, yet they ticket us for the same thing — even when they’re off duty.

🔥 Drop your thoughts below — do you think harsher penalties for police would finally make the system fair?

@JTF2015

Not just speeding, they should receive four times of all violations. That Oath clearly means nothing if they get away with it, idc what kind of family they have at home

@RferNews

Yes I've recently exposed an ex county attorney who received a lesser speeding fine despite the clear evidence. It's a dang shame

At least 3 times the set amount as you would receive in small claims court! Plus costs and fees!

@Emceepe

“Held to a higher standard” has only ever meant in the equal application of law.

Government officials should always be held to a higher standard considering they work for WE THE PEOPLE but they won’t

Just because they are law enforcement, doesn't mean that they are above the laws. They should be held to the same standards as everyone else. Its about accountability. They should be fined as much as everyone else. If not more. And they should lead by example. Police operate by the laws are for thee not for me mentality. And their supervisors let them get away with it. Since they are worse about it.

Locally here in Clinton County Mi Cops drive 60-65 in a 55 area all the time. Where I'm thinking of as I write this is US27 between Lansing and St Johns. However they are very forgiving if we drive 60 even up to 65. IF we are driving good and not being stupid like weaving in and out of traffic. But I have seen them going 80 without a care. In this case I'd like them to be caught and see double the penalty.

@yrp237

Absolutely! They must always be held to a higher standard. (Not literally, the laws are the same for all but the punishment for someone we give a gun & badge to should absolutely be higher! They too must live in fear of breaking the law).

The tell us that we the people have to hold them to a high standard but only when they choose to apply that logic when it suits them.
