UPDATE! I'm away and safe. Hurricane Milton can't reach me here. But I got a minor problem. My computer's display is cracked after being in a nearly airtight luggage case for too long. I have ordered a replacement right away and hopefully installing it should be a cinch.
Learning from this mistake, I will make sure that if I have to leave to always clean the computer to pristine condition, put a padded cloth between the screen and the keyboard, and put the computer in a padded pocket case.
