New video out tomorrow but having trouble deciding the thumbnail for it. What do you guys think? The title is called "Why did Kids Stop Walking to School?".

As an elementary teacher, now retired, it ticked me off that I would get split grades, and the accompanying pressure to cover two curriculums simultaneously, and I had to take time out of the instructional day to give time for students to exercise. This was daily, on top of their physical education class and recesses. If parents would get children to walk or bike, or drop them off a kilometer from school, not only would they be more alert in class, we wouldn't have to waste instructional time to keep them fit.

Number 1 resonates with me the most. Every school in my area is littered with traffic and creates serious gridlock that can last for a mile or more for some schools. I know this is an unpopular opinion since it was the most chosen, but 3 kinda just makes me mad. To me, it sounds like something an old person would say, like "Seeing the young generation walk to school is so rare these days. Back in my day, it was 10 miles uphill in the snow both ways and we never complained. The young generation is so lazy"

Definitely option 3, as the vulnerable road users in question, kids, are featuted prominently. I also believe the focus on human subjects instead of an aerial shot of traffic or long shot of a line of cars will draw more clicks. People and faces > landscapes and places.

Great to see a video on this topic after being teased about it!

From what I can see the thumbnail style is fine but with the way poll layout is made by yt I can't really see them or zoom in so it's not really possible to make a informed decision. I hope yt fixes this problem someday.

I think coming from a very car centric suburban city option 1 would be much more likely to get clicks from car lovers. They hate traffic but couldn't care less about walking or biking. If you name a video "How to Improve Traffic" vs "How to Improve Walking/Biking" the first option will get much more engagement.

Option 1 emphasises the traffic, where option 3 emphasises the pedestrian. I like both personally, but it depends on what the main point of the video is, the traffic or the pedestrians.

FWIW these are all super tiny and hard to read on mobile so they’re not great thumbnails from that perspective? I know “loud” isn’t your brand but bigger type and iconic graphics might help :)
