True, and I think that's what makes the great bands great. With the Ramones, you can also consider what Marky, Richie, and CJ brought to the band during their respective tenures. They all worked in different ways. But Elvis, one of the finest drummers of the New Wave era, didn't work. Why is that? What's the magic that makes the right combination of four people work?

... and don't forget the dress sense 😎. Many people don't realize what balls it took to walk down the street wearing straight leg jeans in the '70s

Hardly Ramone
Having a favorite band like the Ramones gives you an interesting chance to look at the big picture of the members' lives and careers, and think about your own life. Those guys were all flawed people, but they became something extraordinary when they put their good sides together. As a band, they didn't just have the ability to make songs. They had Tommy's intelligence & vision, Johnny's strength & resilience, Dee Dee's creativity & authenticity... and Joey's heart. If we could all be like the best parts of the Ramones, perhaps we can succeed, too. And ultimately, you'll always be stronger when you have some help.
