most overdrive/boost pedals are to make stuff sound like a Les Paul Standard into a cranked Marshall amp... that is the sound of rock!!! 🤟🎸🍺🍻🥃🍹

Not a fan of that style of burst. Teardrop is the way to go, all around the perimeter doesn’t work for a Les Paul. It’d look great on an SG.

WATCH: bit.ly/4lyLDR8 our good friends Angela Petrilli and @guitarcenter demoed the new NEW Gibson Les Paul Studio Figured Guitars
Here's what they said:
The Gibson Les Paul Studio Figured is a cosmetically subtle model that’s perfect for players looking for stellar sound without the uptown trimmings. It’s still a head turner with its AA maple top, mahogany body and rosewood fingerboard, but the flash is more apparent in the Studio’s sonically versatile Burstbucker Pro pickups with coil tapping.
“So many of my heroes, such as Jimmy Page and Warren Haynes, play Les Pauls,” says session guitarist, educator and solo artist Angela Petrilli. “Les Pauls are so iconic and fierce and they encapsulate the spirit of rock and roll. Of course, if the neck of a guitar isn’t comfortable, you won’t be inspired to play. The neck on the Les Paul Studio Figured, however, is super comfortable. You can get right to playing. Sonically, between the potency of the Burstbucker Pro pickups and the ability to coil tap—plus the tone knobs—there are endless possibilities. You can get beautiful, luscious clean tones, and you can also rock out and dig into lead lines. The Gibson Les Paul Studio Figured is a very inspiring guitar.”
