Tickets were $7.50 and $8.50. Other groups were $15 or $20 back then but Joe would fight to keep the price super low so all his fans could afford it. Greatest band ever and coolest band ever

For myself, the ticket prices of $7.50 & $8.50 seen towards the bottom of the article in the picture is something that hits me like a kick in the yarbos. Imagine the days when you could get to the show, get into the show, couple beers and maybe a little something to feed your gutworm for $30.00 or so. Today - The same $30.00 wouldn't cover parking at most concerts. Back in the never come again good ol' days it wasn't all about the great fleecing. Christ I'm old. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. NOW MORE THAN EVER.

It's more like a Freudian slip because his real first name is John. John Graham Mellor.

The Clash
1979, The Clash perform at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston. Can you spot the anomaly in this text?
Infact, Joe Strummer's real name is John Mellor
