My Name Is Andong

🚨 PODCAST ALERT! 🚨 Me and the very hungry Per from Berlin Food Stories are finally launching IMBISS 3000, our brand new food podcast! 🎙🍴🇩🇪 The soul food talk the German speaking world has been waiting for.

The first two episodes are out now and you can get them from your preferred podcast dealer! Simply search for IMBISS 3000 and you are in for a delicious, weekly audio treat. Every Friday we talk about food we love and that doesn’t always make us proud but that truly matters to our lives and hearts! 🥙🍕🍟🍫❤️

But we’re not just shooting the shit - with Viktoria Gans we have a fantastic food scientist on board 👩‍🔬 She will set Per and me straight on the questions that really matter: Why are potato chips so damn addictive? What does sugar do to our brains? Which organic foods could save our lives?

The doors are open. Willkommen im IMBISS 3000 - dein Weg ins SCHLEMMERPARADIES 🏝
What I'm wondering though - How many of you speak German?

I'm a Turkish/Kurdish American who has been living in Germany (recently Switzerland) for the past four years, which is why your content is 👌 for me

This sounds awesome. I'm sure German speakers are rejoicing! I’m currently on unit two of German on Duolingo, so I'll have no problem listening in...I know at least a dozen food related words. If there's ever the possibility of adding subtitles I'd definitely be down to read along with the podcast! Congrats!

It’s been many years since I’ve actually spoken German, so my ability to form my own sentences is pretty rusty, but I still understand it OK.

@pmendoza

Hi! I mean, I do speak some German because I lived there for some time a long time ago. I fell in love with Germany and watching your videos reminds me that time I used to live there. Thanks for your awesome work!

There should be an “Ach! Nur ein bisschen…” option for those of us who learned through the US public education system.

The great thing about being austrian is that we understand you Germans perfectly, but you have absolutely no idea what we are saying😂🇦

My German is middling at best, but it'll be nice to have something to listen to for practice

@Hybridesque

I studied German at school a long time ago and tried to refresh it last year before an aborted trip to Munich, guess I'll have to do better with my studies.
