I had one of those "I'm laughing but maybe I shouldn't be laughing," moments. I've been watching Matt since he had about 7k subs. I felt it was meant to troll BookTubers who have since showed themselves to be moral cowards. Maybe should've saved it for April Fool's, though.

As a dark humour fan I just went "man thats a bit fresh give it a few months" Some jokes just don't hit, sometimes you miss the mark. Admitting fault and removing it was the right move, we all screw up sometimes. It'll give you pause next time some cretin does something heinous (and they will, they always do) and you instantly have a joke in your head (because people with a dark sense if humour always do) to just hold off and have a bit of decorum.

Not going to lie I was quite disappointed when I watched that video, especially since you are a father (and a loving one as far as I can tell) to a daughter of your own. It disheartened me to think that someone going through such an experience wouldn’t strike a chord with you (which is the vibe that I got from the now deleted video). However, I’m glad that you took accountability for your actions.

I didn't see the joke vid. It's best you took it down. But I also strongly disagree with "Overly Average Ben" making a video almost entirely about you, like you were part of the problem. I believe you are sincere and tried to compensate a world that seems to be getting absurder by the day.

I think if it wasn’t such a recent event and you’d have come out in support of the victim before making the video, the joke would have been fine, it’s just that the first 2 things we see you say are jokes about it which came of like you weren’t really taking these things seriously, glad you actually were able to own up to your mistake

I removed the joke video I put up earlier about the "DG" situation. Every now and then I post a bait and switch type video where I subvert the expectation and divert it to something silly. I thought it would be funny to talk about "DG" and admit that I had never actually read "Deadhouse Gates", which is one of my favorite books.
I just tried to make a joke and I missed really bad. Real sorry :(
